These programmes are suitable for students who have passed Grade 9 and want to build business, administrative, safety, or hospitality skills over three years.
Pre-Vocational Learning Programme (PLP)
Designed for Grade 9 graduates who need to strengthen their foundational knowledge before entering NCV Level 2. The PLP is fully financed by the DHET, so students pay no enrollment fees. No accommodation or transport is included. Grade 12 learners are not eligible for this programme.

Covers four vocational subjects: Policing Practices, South African Criminal Law, Governance, and the Criminal Justice System. Teaches students how laws are formulated, how enforcement agencies operate, and how democratic governance works in practice.
Transport and Logistics
Provides comprehensive training in transportation management and supply chain operations, including inventory management, logistics strategies, and industry technology. Graduates are prepared for roles in logistics management, transportation planning, warehouse operations, and supply chain coordination.
2. Pre-Matric Engineering (NCV)
Minimum: Grade 9 or equivalent | Duration: 3 Years | NQF Level 2 – 4
Engineering NCV programmes expose students to industrial environments, engineering principles, and hands-on technical operations.
Electrical Infrastructure Construction
Covers heavy current systems (overhead power lines, domestic, civil, and industrial) and light current systems (digital electronics, communications, industrial electronics, sound engineering, and instrumentation). Integrates academic theory with practical skills.
Automotive
Introduces students to the basic industrial environment and automotive engineering systems. Topics include engine construction, fuel and ignition systems, power trains, brakes, transmissions, and electronic diagnostic equipment.
Fabrication
Covers the building of metal structures through cutting, bending, profiling, welding, and assembling. Materials include steel, aluminium, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Students develop both engineering knowledge and hands-on fabrication skills.
Fitting & Turning
Teaches learners to operate and monitor drilling machines, milling machines, surface grinding machines, and lathes. Also includes welding and joining of metals, heat exchangers, and general maintenance.
3. Post-Matric Business Studies (NATED)
Minimum: Grade 12 or equivalent | Duration: 18 Months Theory + 18 Months Practical
NATED (N4–N6) Business programmes lead to a National Diploma upon completion of the practical component. These qualifications are widely recognised by employers across South Africa.

NCR TVET College Fees Structure and Bursary Options
Cost is one of the biggest concerns for prospective students and their families. Here is what you need to know about fees and funding at NCR TVET College.
Fees Structure
As a public TVET college, NCR TVET College’s programmes are heavily subsidised by the government — the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) covers approximately 80% of delivery costs. This means your out-of-pocket costs are significantly lower than at a private college. The remaining portion that students are expected to contribute varies by programme. For the most up-to-date fee schedule, visit www.ncrtvet.com or contact your nearest campus directly.
Important: The Pre-Vocational Learning Programme (PLP) is completely free — fully financed by DHET.
NSFAS Bursary for NCR TVET College Students
NCR TVET College is one of the 50 accredited public TVET colleges fully supported by NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme). This is a bursary — not a loan — meaning you do not pay it back if you meet the requirements.
NSFAS can cover the following for qualifying NCR TVET students:

- Learning material allowance for textbooks and stationery
NSFAS Eligibility Requirements
